Science / Major Directions of Research Activities

Fundamental, pilot and applied scientific studies are carried out at the Institute in the following directions:

  • Studies of the basic properties and reactivity of solids, mechanisms of solid-phase transformations and transport processes in solids;
  • Investigation of the processes participated by solids under high pressure and temperature, combustion and explosion;
  • Investigation of fast processes using the methods based on the synchrotron radiation;
  • Mechanochemistry of inorganic and organic substances, mineral and renewable raw materials;
  • Electrochemistry of heterogeneous systems;
  • Chemical materials science. Design and modification of the structures of solids and materials, biologically active and pharmaceutical substances. Chemistry of nano-objects and nanocomposites.
